Safety precautions

  • When extending or retracting the extendable pull handle, be careful not to get your fingers caught in the pipe joint or between the handle and suitcase body.

    image
  • It is dangerous to forcibly roll the suitcase over stairs or uneven surfaces. Improper use of wheels may result in suitcase damage or cause the user to tip over. Carry the suitcase by the main handle when necessary.

  • Be careful of unexpected suitcase movement in a moving vehicle or on a slope. Set the suitcase flat or hold the handle at all times.

    image

    * If the suitcase is provided with a wheel stopper function, set the stopper to ON.

  • Do not touch the wheels immediately after continuous rolling of the suitcase. Continuously rolling wheels generate frictional heat and may cause burns.

  • When opening or closing the suitcase, be careful not to catch your fingers, clothing or other items.

  • Be careful when placing the suitcase on a high place in order to prevent it from falling. If the suitcase falls on a person, it can cause serious injury.

    image
  • When carrying the suitcase onto an escalator, pay attention to your surrounding, position the suitcase in front of or behind you and hold it securely to prevent it from falling. Also, grasp the hand rail belt of the escalator firmly so as to prevent yourself from falling. If the suitcase falls down, serious injury may occur.

    * If your suitcase is provided with a stopper function, set the stopper to ON to prevent the suitcase from falling.

  • Do not use the suitcase for any purpose other than it was designed for, such as for playing, or as a platform or chair.

・If you rest on the suitcase as if sitting on a chair, the wheels may turn and cause you to fall, thus leading to an unexpected accident or damage to the suitcase.

・Do not play with the suitcase, for example, by placing a person in the suitcase and closing it since using the suitcase as a "toy" can result in a dangerous circumstance.

・Do not cover your head with the plastic cover bag for the suitcase since it can suffocate you.

  • The suitcase is designed for use in a travel. Do not use it in lieu of a cane or walking aid.

  • Do not put your weight on the pull handle since the suitcase can fall over and cause injury.

  • When releasing your hand from the pull handle after rolling the suitcase on casters, make certain that the suitcase will not fall over.

    * The suitcase can easily fall over if the center of gravity is high. To set the center of gravity at a low position, pack heavy items close to the middle of the side with casters.

    image
  • Note that moving../../customer/ the pull handle sideways while pressing it down can disengage the stopper and cause the pull handle to suddenly descend all the way.

    image
  • When pulling the suitcase, pay heed to the people and objects in the surrounding area to prevent an unexpected accident such as falling down.

Usage precautions

  • Sand, dust or lint adhered to the wheel shafts can prevent the wheels from proper or smooth operation.

  • The pull handle is designed for use in pulling the suitcase. Do not lift the suitcase by the pull handle. Doing so can cause damage. Be sure to hold the main handle on the suitcase body to lift the suitcase.

  • To adjust the length of the multi-stage pull handle, pull out the bar all the way, then adjust the length while retracting the bar.

    * Some multi-stage pull handles are not adjustable in length.

    image
  • The pull handle has a certain amount of "play" to allow smooth handle movement.

  • If your suitcase has a zipper, open the zipper all the way to the end position before opening the suitcase. The zipper can become damaged if you attempt to forcibly open the suitcase with the zipper halfway open.

    image
  • The degree of wear of wheels varies depending on the frequency of use and the conditions of road surfaces they are rolled on. Also, note that the wheels degrade over time due to material characteristics.

  • The strength and durability of the suitcase are more affected by its handling, such as impacts being applied during use, than by the frequency of use or the number of years it is used.

  • High acidity, salinity and humidity can cause damage to the suitcase.

  • Heat can cause the suitcase shape to deform.

    * Do not leave the suitcase near a heating device or in a high-temperature vehicle.

  • The suitcase body is made of an impact-resistant material, but excessive shock or force can result in deformation or damage.

  • The surface of the mirror-finish suitcase collects scratches during use. Those scratches cannot be prevented due to material characteristics.

  • The suitcase may have a resin smell when it is new. This smell gradually fades with use.

Packing Precautions

  • Do not put cash or valuables in the suitcase. The suitcase locks are designed to prevent the suitcase from accidental opening. They are not intended to protect against theft.

  • Exercise caution when placing fragile items such as glass bottles into the suitcase. Glass bottles may break inside the suitcase, or the contents may leak.

・If the suitcase is transported by an airplane, the lids of bottles and other containers in the suitcase may open due to a change in the pressure level.

  • Do not overpack the suitcase. Overpacking the suitcase can cause damage to the wheels and zipper.

    image
  • The suitcase is not waterproof. Rainwater can seep into the interior, causing the contents to be wet. Make sure to keep the suitcase away from water, especially when traveling to an area with frequent rain.

  • The interior of the soft (fabric) trolley bag has a zipper that does not have a pull tab. This zipper is used during repairs. The section with this zipper cannot be used as a pocket or compartment.

How to use the wheel stopper

The wheel stopper prevents the suitcase from moving inadvertently on a slope or in a train.

  • Press the switch and set the stopper to ON to lock the wheels in place.

    image
  • To set the stopper to OFF, press the switch again to release it from the depressed position. The wheel lock will be released.

    image

<CAUTION>

●Do not pull the suitcase with the stopper in the ON position.

●Operate the switch only when the suitcase is stationary. Operating the switch while the suitcase is moving can result in damage or an accident.

●When checking in the suitcase at the check-in counter at the airport, set the stopper to OFF. If the suitcase is checked in with the stopper left in the ON position, damage may occur.

●Even if the stopper is in the ON position, the suitcase may still move or tip over, depending on the inclination of the slope, due to a sudden movement of the train/bus, etc. When the suitcase is placed on an unstable place, keep your hand on the suitcase or lay the suitcase flat on its side.

●When carrying the suitcase onto an escalator, pay attention to your surrounding, position the suitcase in front of or behind you and set the stopper to ON. Also, grasp the hand rail belt of the escalator firmly and keep your hand on the suitcase.

●When the suitcase is not used for an extended period of time, be sure to set the stopper to OFF. Leaving the stopper in the ON position for a long time can result in stopper failure.

●Note that contents may come into contact with the brake wire in the suitcase and inadvertently engage the stopper.

How to detach/attach the hanger

The original hanger provided in the suitcase is detachable. Hold the attaching section of the hanger and pull along the rail direction.

Storage and Maintenance Precautions

  • The color of the suitcase body and plastic parts may fade due to long-term exposure to direct sunlight or other factors in use/storage.

  • Do not clean the suitcase with a cleaning agent containing solvent or abrasive compound, such as thinner or benzene. To clean the surface, wipe with a cloth dampened with neutral detergent, then clean with a cloth dampened in water.

  • Store the suitcase in a well ventilated place that is not subject to UV (ultraviolet) rays. Do not store inside a vinyl bag or cardboard box, as this would accelerate aging due to hydrolytic degradation of the handle and wheels. When using the suitcase after a long period of storage, be sure to inspect it in advance by applying gentle force to the handle in order to confirm that there are no problems.
